Building & Ground Maintenance

Building Maintenance Division

The Public Works, Building Maintenance Division, has three employees including one Supervisor and two Operators. This division is responsible for all building maintenance and fixture maintenance for City Hall, Maumelle Senior Wellness Center, Maumelle Animal Shelter, Maumelle Police Department, Maumelle Fire Department, and the Public Works building. In addition, this division is responsible for the maintenance of all city owned street lights along Odom Boulevard, at the Diamond Center, and Rolling Oaks Sport Complex. Since, the supervisor is a skilled carpenter; it saves the city a lot of money each year by custom wood work and remodeling projects being done “in house.” If they are not at other city offices working, they can usually be found working out of their wood shop.

The Public Works, Grounds Maintenance Division, has eleven employees including one Supervisor and one Lead man. This division is responsible for the maintenance of the city’s approximate 200 acres of open spaces, 38 miles of right of ways (including streets and ditches), weed control on 22 miles of City streets and ditches and the maintenance including mowing, edging and litter pick up along Maumelle Boulevard.
