1. Where is the Human Resources Department located, and what are its office hours?

The City of Maumelle’s Human Resources Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are located in City Hall, 550 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle, AR 72113 (501) 851-2784, Ext 233.

Free parking is available in the parking lot in front of City Hall.

4. Can I submit my resume instead of completing the job application form?

We do not accept electronic/paper resumes without an application. You can attach your resume to your completed application if you wish, but you should always complete the application as if there were no resume attached.  Please refrain from using “see resume” when providing your job description on your application.

5. How long do jobs stay available?

Some job advertisements will indicate a specific closing date. Others will state "Open until filled" meaning that the position may close at any time, depending on where the hiring supervisor is in the process.

6. I want to apply for more than one position. Do I need to fill out a separate application for each job?

Yes, to apply for multiple jobs postings you must complete a separate application for each position.

7. How long does it normally take before I am scheduled for an interview (if selected for an interview)?

On average, it takes up to two weeks for the departments to review and schedule interviews for selected applicants. In some cases, this process may take longer.

8. Are there any conditions that must be met before I can be hired?

Hiring for final applicants will be contingent upon the completion of a successful pre-employment screening. Also, please be aware that if you are made a job offer and accept, you are required to provide acceptable documentation to establish your identity and your eligibility to work (per the Immigration Reform and Control Act).

9. Do all City of Maumelle employees get benefits?

All full-time City of Maumelle employees are eligible to enroll in benefits offered by the City of Maumelle; part-time and temporary employees do not.
