How can I become a Volunteer Firefighter

The Maumelle Fire Department is always looking for persons willing to serve as volunteer firefighters. Applicants should be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and have no felony convictions. Previous firefighting experience is not required. The responsibilities of volunteer firefighters include responding to calls when available and attending twice-monthly training meetings. The department provides all volunteers with protective equipment, radio pagers and necessary training.

For more information about becoming a volunteer firefighter, contact Chief Gerald Ezell at (501) 851-1337 (Ext 201) or visit our headquarters at 2000 Murphy Drive during normal business hours.
