Maumelle Solar Eclipse Countdown

eclipse 2024 (Website)

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon “eclipses” the sun. This means that the moon, as it orbits the Earth, comes in between the sun and the Earth, thereby blocking the sun and preventing any sunlight from reaching us.

The Great North American Eclipse is set for April 8, 2024, and Maumelle, Arkansas will be a wonderful place to enjoy this historic event. Two-thirds of the state will be in the path of totality.

The last solar eclipse in North America was 2017

Set your alarms for April 8, 2024 at 12:33pm because that is when the sun will begin moving. It will then be completely behind the moon and totality in the Maumelle will last for about 3 minutes.
