The City of Maumelle welcomes people of diverse cultures and beliefs. Any religious viewpoint expressed during invocation, or at any other time during the meeting, reflects only the personal opinion of the speaker. It is not intended to proselytize, advance, or disparage any religious belief.

4.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES – MARCH 16, REGULAR MEETING

5.  PUBLIC COMMENT

During Public Comment, issues NOT on the agenda may be addressed.  Public comments concerning items on the agenda will be allowed when that item is discussed by the Council.  Anyone wishing to make a comment must fill out the provided form and present it to the City Clerk.  In the interest of time comments will be limited to three (3) minutes.  This privilege may be revoked by the Mayor in the case of inappropriate language or comments.  Any public member shall first state his or her name and address, followed by a concise statement of the person's position or concern.  All remarks shall be addressed to the Mayor or the Council as a whole, not to any particular member of the Council.  No person other than the Council members and the person having the floor shall be permitted to enter into any discussions without permission of the Mayor.

A. Second Reading Ordinance 996 Accepting Dedication of Streets & Drainage                            Mayor Norris

With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the second reading of ordinance accepting and

confirming  the dedication of certain streets and drainage associated with the IM at White Oak Crossing.
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED.



B. Second Reading Ordinance 997 Amending Maumelle Land Use Plan                                           Mayor Norris

With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the second reading of the ordinance amending the current Land Use Plan changing 2.684 acres at the northeast corner of Diamond Park Lane and White Oak Crossing, SW ¼ , SE ¼ , of Section 34, Township 3N Range 13 West from SUR to COMM. 
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED. 

 

C. Second Reading Ordinance 998 Amending Maumelle Zoning Map                                            Mayor Norris

With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the second reading of the ordinance amending the current Zoning Map changing 2.684 acres at the northeast corner of Diamond Park Lane and White Oak Crossing, SW ¼ , SE ¼ , of Section 34, Township 3N Range 13 West from PRD to C-3. 
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED.

 

D. Second Reading Ordinance 995 Providing for Internet Auctions                                                  Mayor Norris

            With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the second reading of the ordinance providing for the adoption of an internet auction for the purchase of goods and services. NO ACTION IS REQUIRED.

 

11. NEW BUSINESS   
A. First Reading Ordinance 1000 Amending Chapter 2 Article 2                                                       Mayor Norris

With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the first reading of the ordinance to define the word present to include attendance by electronic means. NO ACTION IS REQUIRED.  


A REQUEST WILL BE MADE TO SUSPEND THE RULES AND HAVE ALL THREE READINGS AND ADOPT AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE.

B. Resolution 2020-7 Amending the 2020 Sanitation Fund Budget                                                  Mayor Norris

With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the reading of the resolution amending the 2020 Sanitation Fund Budget appropriating funds for Spring Cleanup. A MOTION IS IN ORDER.

C. Resolution 2020-8 Applying to the Planning Commission for an Ordinance                               Mayor Norris

            With no objections, Mayor Norris may call for the reading of the resolution permitting the Mayor or the Mayor’s Designee to apply directly to the Planning Commission for future ordinances.
