Attention: Citizens, Please remove the Lawn Service Company Flags after your yard is treated to prevent them from becoming litter.

There are 3- 40 yard containers reserved for disposal of waste they are labeled Solid Waste, Yard Waste and Construction Debris. The following items are accepted for disposal at the Maumelle Transfer Station for a nominal fee.


 

Solid Waste Acceptable Items: 

Air conditioners (Freon must be removed and occupy a receipt from a certified HVAC technician with his license #)

  • Hot water heaters
  • Household furniture
  • Large toys ( kiddie pools, playhouses, disassembled swing sets)
  • Major appliances w/o Freon (Freon must be removed and occupy a receipt from a certified HVAC technician with his license #)
  • Mattresses and bed frames
  • Rugs (MUST be rolled and tied)
  • Household furnishings
  • Lawn mowers
  • BBQ grills
  • Misc.
  • Waste generated by resident

 

Yard Waste Acceptable Items

  • Anything that grows
  • Untreated lumber

The City of Maumelle does not collect or accept contractor- produced waste from tree pruning. It is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of the waste. Waste from land clearing operations such as rocks, dirt, sand, bricks, and concrete are unacceptable for removal by the City.


GREEN STATIONS

Acceptable Items:

Used oil

Used gasoline

Antifreeze

4 ft. fluorescent bulbs

8 ft. fluorescent bulbs

Compact fluorescent bulbs

Cooking Oil (can be placed in the Flammable liquids barrel)

Construction Debris Acceptable Items:
You may bring up to two wheel barrels full of rock, brick, concrete, or dirt only.

  • Carpet
  • Old flooring
  • Cabinets
  • Fencing
  • Lumber
  • Sheetrock

The City of Maumelle does not collect or accept contractor- produced waste from construction, demolition, and repair operations. It is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of the waste. Waste from land clearing operations such as rocks, dirt, sand, bricks, and concrete are unacceptable for removal by the City.

Unacceptable Items:  

  • Air conditioners (because they could have freon in them)
  • Refrigerators (because they could have freon in them)
  • Wet Latex paint (Paint MUST be a solid matter to be disposed of at the Transfer Station.)
  • Tires (see Tire Disposal below)
  • Contractors Waste
  • Railroad ties
  • Medical Waste
  • Large amounts of rock, brick, concrete, or dirt. You may bring up to two wheel barrels full of rock, brick, concrete, or dirt only. Any more than that amount cannot be accepted since it will damage the machinery we use to process materials

Anything to do with paint (i.e. paint thinners, paint removers)

  • Thermostats
  • Mercury
  • Cleaning agents
  • Car batteries
  • Household batteries - All HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES should be disposed of at Radio Shack.
  • Propane tanks or Coleman cylinders
