CITY TREE BOARD VACANCIES
The Mayor and City Council are accepting resumes from residents interested in serving on the City’s Tree Board. Three citizens will be appointed to three-year terms ending June 30, 2015. An applicant must be a resident of Maumelle. Desired backgrounds for applicants include land development, forestry, landscaping or horticulture, utility industry, and City Beautification Committee, but any with a desire to serve are encouraged to apply. The Director of Planning & Zoning and the Director of Parks and Recreation serve as permanent non-voting members of the Board.
Resumes should be submitted to the City Clerk/Treasurer, Joshua Clausen, 550 Edgewood Drive Suite 590, Maumelle, AR 72113, no later than June 13, 2012. Resumes will be reviewed by the Mayor and appointments will be made at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on June 18, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. Civil Service Commission Vacancy
The Maumelle City Councilis accepting resumes from residents interested in service on the Maumelle Civil Service Commission. An appointment will be made for a five year term ending April 30, 2017. An applicant must be a good citizen and a resident of Maumelle for more than three years, not holding or being a candidate for political office or be connected in any official capacity with any political party or organization. Operator II
Public Works Department
Position Summary:
Starting annual salary for this position is $23,413.00. Applications will be accepted until the job is filled.
The position of Operator II/CDL requires a valid Arkansas Class B CDL License (Class A is preferred), ability to operate all kinds of equipment such as street sweepers, backhoes, tractors, dump trucks, yard waste trucks, and sanitation trucks. Schedule hours for this position are Monday thru Friday 7a.m. to 4p.m.

Operator III
Public Works Department
The City of Maumelle is currently taking applications for the position of Operator III/CDL/TS in the Public Works Department.
Position Summary: The general purpose of an Operator III/CDL/TS is to carry out various duties of the Sanitation and Street Maintenance Departments. This includes operator of the Transfer/Recycle Center.
Examples of key activities associated with the position: Qualifications include a high school diploma or a GED; and 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; and 1 to 6 months managerial experience.
Starting salary for this position is $11.86 per hour.
