City Pension PlanAfter 1 year of employment with the City an employee will be eligible to have the City contribute up to six percent (6%) of their salary into a pension plan. The Plan is administered by Great-West Retirement Services.
457 Plans & Roth IRATax code section 457 provides rules to govern all nonqualified deferred compensation plans of governmental employees and non-church controlled tax-exempt organizations. Section 125 Cafeteria PlanThe City provides access to a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan. A "Section 125 Cafeteria Plan", often referred to as a "Flexible Spending Account", helps an employee keep more of their paycheck by reducing their Federal and State taxes. It allows an employee to pay certain expenses before taxes are deducted from their paycheck. These expenses include daycare, insurance premiums and most out-of-pocket medical costs.
